Officers are asking for help following a serious assault in Spondon this morning (Wednesday 13 May).
The force received a call at 12.55am to reports that a 24-year-old man had been assaulted in a subway off Arnhem Terrace.
The man, who is from Derby, was taken to the Royal Derby Hospital where he is receiving treatment for his injuries – they are not believed to be life threatening or life changing at this time.
Officers are keen to speak to anyone who was in the area at the time and may be able to assist officers with their enquiries.
