Witnesses sought after man collapses and dies in Alvaston

We are appealing for witnesses to come forward after a man collapsed in the street and sadly died a short time later.
Just before 5am on Sunday 18 April, the ambulance service called us to Harvey Road in Alvaston as a man had been found collapsed.
He was discovered by a concerned passer-by, who stopped to help him.
The man, who was aged 29, was sadly pronounced dead a short time later and we are investigating the circumstances of his death.
Residents living in Alvaston may notice an increased police presence in the area as local officers are carrying out extra patrols. Please approach the officers if you want to pass on any information, or raise any other issues.
