A 16-year-old boy has been arrested in connection with a serious assault at Derby bus station yesterday afternoon.
The boy was arrested this morning (Sunday 19 December) on suspicion of wounding with intent and has been taken into police custody.
We were called just after 3.15pm on Saturday 18 December to report that a 15-year-old boy had been stabbed outside the bus station, in Riverlights, Morledge following a fight between a group of youths.
The boy was taken to hospital by ambulance and his injuries have been described as not life threatening or changing.
A scene was in place for several hours yesterday whilst Detectives carried out enquiries following the incident.
Detectives are keen to speak with anyone who was in the area yesterday and witnessed the incident. Anyone who has dash cam installed which may have captured the incident is also asked to contact us.
