Appeal for information after a man is assaulted in Normanton

People living in Normanton will see an increased police presence in the area this morning.
We were called to Lower Dale Road at around 7.25pm last night following reports that a man had been assaulted.
Officers are in the area, speaking to residents and establishing what happened.
The man remains in hospital.
We would like to hear from witnesses, or anyone who was driving in the area at the time who has dashcam footage.
