Detectives investigating the death of a cyclist in Derby are appealing for drivers with dashcam footage to come forward and help with enquiries.
A 73-year-old man was riding a red road bike on the slip road of the A52 heading towards Derby at the Asda roundabout in Spondon at 6.55pm yesterday (Sunday 30 May).
A white BMW X2 collided with the cyclist and, despite the best efforts of paramedics, the man was pronounced dead at the scene. His family has been made aware and our thoughts are with them at this time.
Detectives investigating the incident are appealing witnesses to the incident, in particular drivers with dashcam video that may have captured the moments just before the collision, to contact the force.
