A 50-year-old man has sadly died following a collision in Egginton Road at Etwall.
It happened just after midday yesterday (Tuesday 28 September) when a Peugeot 208 was in collision with two parked cars, a Mazda and a Volkswagen Up.
The man, who was a pedestrian, died at the scene.
A 34-year-old woman, who was also a pedestrian injured during the crash, was released from hospital last night after treatment for her injuries.
The road was closed for several hours but reopened just before 6pm.
The driver of the Peugeot, a 50-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of dangerous driving and will be interviewed by officers today.
