Officers are appealing for dashcam footage following a collision which left a woman in a critical condition in hospital.
The force was called to Douglas Street, off Osmaston Road, Derby, at 2.05am on Sunday 13 February to reports of a collision between a woman and a car.
At the scene a grey VW Golf was found to have been in collision with a 35-year-old woman. She was taken to hospital with life threatening injuries and remains in hospital in a critical condition.
The driver of the Golf, a 23-year-old man from Derby, was arrested on suspicion of causing serious injury by dangerous driving and has been released under investigation while enquiries continue.
Officers are keen to speak to any drivers with dashcam who were in the area at the time of the incident – as well as any homeowners on Douglas Street who may have CCTV that covers the street.
