Detectives investigating the theft of three large trailer units containing hundreds of thousands of pounds worth of goods are appealing for information.
The trailers were stolen from an HGV storage unit in Litchurch Lane, Derby sometime after midnight on 14 December. The contents of a fourth trailer were also stolen.
Detective Staff Investigator Katie Carter said:
“Since this incident was reported to us on 22 December, we have been following several lines of enquiry.
“We believe the trailers were driven along Sir Frank Whittle Road, Derby, and the A61 between the Pektron and Little Eaton roundabouts, between midnight and 3am on 14 December.
“Anyone who was travelling these routes at the time, with dash cam installed, is asked to check their footage, as we believe this could have captured the trailers being moved.
“If you have any footage or information that may help with our investigation, please get in touch quoting reference 21*744064.”
The trailers are understood to have contained white goods, gym equipment, garden furniture and returned items from an online retailer.
You can also call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
If you have footage that may be useful for officers, please ensure it is securely downloaded to another device and kept safely for them to view.
