We’re appealing for dash cam footage after a car failed to stop following a collision in Chellaston.
A yellow Citroen DS was reportedly travelling in lane one of the Bonnie Prince roundabout on the A50 and had just passed the exit for Infinity Park Way, when another car collided with it at around 3.15pm on 11 July.
The collision caused the Citroen to spin, with it ending up facing oncoming traffic on the carriageway. The other car did not stop at the scene.
The driver of the Citroen, a woman in her twenties, sustained a trapped nerve in her leg during the collision and is currently relying on crutches to help her walk.
Anyone who witnessed the incident, particularly with dash cam installed -- which may have captured the collision -- is asked to contact us quoting reference 228399062.
You can also anonymously contact the independent charity Crimestoppers, on 0800 555 111, or by visiting the Crimestoppers website.
If you have footage that may be useful for officers, please ensure it is securely downloaded to another device and kept safely for them to view.
