Main article content
Officers investigating the theft of a number of high value pieces of construction equipment from the building site of a new Derby supermarket are appealing for the public’s help.
The three pieces of equipment were stolen from the corner of Uttoxeter New Road and Mercian Way, where a new Lidl store is being built, between 4.30pm on Friday 25 February and 7.30am on Monday 28 February.
The following items were stolen from the site:
A red/orange Thwaites One Tonne Dumper
A red and black Indeco HP600 Hydraulic Breaker
A bright orange Kubota hydraulic quick hitch system.
Due to the size of the items stolen it is believed that a trailer or other larger vehicle would have been used in the theft.
Officers are keen to speak to anyone who may have been in the area between the times detailed above and saw anyone on the site. Of particular interest are any drivers with dashcam footage that may have captured images of those responsible.
