Officers investigating a collision in Alvaston are appealing for drivers with dashcam to come forward.
The incident took place at around 8.15pm on 19 May close to the Lidl off Raynesway in the Derby suburb and involved a white Vauxhall Astra estate van and a Honda Jazz.
The driver of Vauxhall, a man in his 30s from Derbyshire, was arrested on suspicion of drink driving and dangerous driving and has since been released under investigation as enquiries continue.
Officers are keen to hear from any drivers who witnessed the moments leading up to the collision – in particular, anyone with dashcam footage of either of the vehicles prior to the incident.
