Detectives investigating a hit and run collision in Derby which left a police officer with serious injuries are appealing for footage from around the time of the incident.
The officer was hit by a silver Volkswagen Passat, with a registration plate beginning VK59, in The Wardwick in the early hours Sunday 4 September.
He suffered a serious injury to his leg and was taken to hospital, where he remains in a serious but stable condition in hospital.
The driver did not stop and drove off along Curzon Street and then onto Uttoxeter New Road.
We are now keen to hear from anyone who may have dashcam, or any other footage from these areas between 9pm on Saturday 3 September and 1am on Sunday 4 September.
Our officer had been carrying out enquiries following reports of an assault outside The Hairy Dog pub in Becket Street, Derby, at around 12.30am.
The victim of the assault told officers at the scene that two Black men in a silver Volkswagen Passat had punched him to the face, and the incident happened as the officer tried to approach a vehicle matching that description.
If you have any footage from that time frame, or have any other information which could help with our enquiries, please get in touch on the below details, including reference 51-040922:
