Appeal after reports of assault in Swadlincote

We are appealing for witnesses to help officers investigating an assault in Woodville, Swadlincote.

The incident, which saw a woman assaulted, is believed to have happened between 12am and 2am on 23 December between BoxClub and Box Close off Burton Road.

Officers are keen to speak to anyone who was at BoxClub at Clock Island on the evening of 22 December and anyone who was in the area between the roundabout and Box Close along Burton Road in the early hours of the following day – in particular anyone who saw a woman wearing a green khaki jacket, grey hooded top and black jeans in the area.

Of particular interest are any drivers with dash cam from the area – as well as homeowners with CCTV that covers that area.
