We are releasing a CCTV image of a man we would like to speak to in connection with reports of an assault in Derby.
The incident is believed to have happened between around 5.15pm and 5.30pm on Saturday 18 November.
A man was walking on East Street when he reported being assaulted by a man with a bike lock, suffering cuts to the head and broken ribs.
The victim had allegedly had an argument with the same man just moments before on the Morledge.
Officers have been investigating and following a number of lines of enquiry since it was reported and have now released an image of a man they would like to trace as he may have information which could help.
Although the photo is not the best quality, we hope someone may recognise the man, or remember the incident and come forward.
