We are appealing for drivers with dashcam footage to come forward after a man reported being assaulted in Swadlincote.
The incident is understood to have taken place between midnight and 7am on the A444 between the Mount Pleasant Inn and the roundabout at the junction of Burton Road and Castle Road.
Officers are keen to speak to anyone who was driving on that stretch of road between the time stated – especially any drivers with dashcam that may have captured a man wearing a blue coat, black hooded top and black t-shirt.
