We’re appealing for witnesses and information following reports of an assault in Derby.
Officers received a call just after 2.25am on Sunday 31 March about a man being seriously assaulted in Faire Street, in the California area of the city, following an altercation sometime after 1.30am.
The victim left the scene at the time, but officers have since been able to contact them to check they are well. He has not reported any serious injuries.
We would like to speak to two other men who were believed to have been in the area at the time as they both could have information which could help with our enquiries.
One of the men is described as wearing a thin black jacket with the hood pulled up over his face and black trousers. The other is described as black and of slim build and believed to have been sat in a small blue car.
Did you hear or see anything suspicious which could help with our enquiries? Or can you help us identify the victim or the other men described?
Anyone with information, or dash cam footage that may be of use to officers is urged to get in touch on the following details, with reference 24*187030:
