A police investigation is underway following a large fire at a derelict building in Derby over the weekend.
Emergency services were called to the former Hotel Ristorante La Gondola on Osmaston Road just after 7pm yesterday, Sunday 25 August.
A woman found at the building has been treated for injuries which are not believed to be serious or life threatening.
Osmaston Road closed during the incident, but it has since re-opened.
Although the emergency services have left the site and the scene has closed, Derbyshire Fire & Rescue Service will be continuing to monitor any hotspot areas.
The building remains unsafe due to structural building and the owner is working with the local authorities around safety and security at the site.
At this time, we are treating the fire as suspicious, and detectives are following a number of lines of enquiry.
There have been reports of people trespassing and anti-social behaviour on the site and we would like to hear from any witnesses or anyone with any information about people accessing the building.
