A man has suffered serious injuries after a collision in Normanton Road.
The incident occurred at 11.30am today (6 November) and saw a green BMW collide with a pedestrian. Officers had attempted to stop the driver, however, the BMW mounted the pavement and as it did so it collided with a pedestrian.
The pedestrian, a man in his 60s, has suffered serious, but not believed to be life-threatening injuries and has been taken to hospital for treatment.
A man in 30s has been arrested in connection with the incident and remains in custody.
Officers want to hear from anyone who may have footage of the incident, in particular any drivers with dashcam that may have captured the collision.
