In the third and final clip of footage from a taxi used by a County Lines gang to capture their drug dealing activities, you will see how a young boy is put in a taxi, and sent to a trap house to sell drugs.
He doesn’t know where he is going, who he is going to meet, but is told by the taxi driver that he will ‘be looked after’ by the gang and will ‘make some p’s’.
This is a common sign of County Lines, young people will be promised money, expensive goods and respect in exchange for being put in dangerous positions to sell drugs.
In reality, after the short taxi journey, this young boy would sit in a house for three days, not go out, not contact anyone else, and just sit with his phone on, ready to take orders from drugs users.
All the gang members eventually pleaded guilty to their parts in the conspiracy and were jailed for more than 40 years in total at Derby Crown Court on 6 May 2021.
