From road trip bingo to colouring sheets, children can get creative while learning more about how to keep safe on the road with our new resources.
Created by our Youth Engagement Officer and Design and Print team, the workbook includes activities for children to do whilst travelling.
Youth engagement officer Julie Berry said: “The packs are available to download from our website and will be in libraries around the county to encourage young people to think about road safety.
“These packs are great to get children interested in the world around them whilst travelling, and we’d encourage parents and carers to use them as a conversation starter about keeping safe on the road.”
The resources include information on different crossings, how to recognise road signs, and tips for travelling safely.
Our ‘Just a second’ campaign focuses on the important message that things can change instantly whilst driving, and we all have to do our bit to make sure we’re safe and free from distractions.
You will see this campaign around the county, from adverts on petrol pumps to children’s workbooks in libraries.
