Podcast gives an insight into tackling rural domestic abuse

As part of the Rural Crime Week of Action, Sergeant Chris Wilkinson spoke to Emily on The Willow Pod, a podcast from The Willow Project which delivers rural domestic abuse awareness sessions.

Chris said: “Organisations like The Willow Project are vital partners that we work with to tackle rural domestic abuse. Those in rural communities can face unique challenges in situations of abuse, and having an awareness of those issues is key in being able to support victims.”

Chris also gave information about how to record coercion and control to build evidence and gave an insight into how the police investigate incidents of rural domestic abuse.
