Man charged with four offences after Normanton incident

A man has appeared at court today charged with four offences following an incident in Normanton on Friday afternoon.
Kaywan Karimi was arrested in Malcolm Street, Normanton, Derby, after police were called to an incident at around 1pm on Friday, 13 March.
The 43-year-old, of Wetherby Road, Derby, was arrested initially on suspicion of a public order offence. He was later charged with the following offences:
- Threat to damage/destroy property
- Racially/religiously aggravated fear/provocation of violence by words/writing
- Use threatening/abusive/insulting words/behaviour with intent to cause fear of/provoke unlawful violence
- Drive a motor vehicle dangerously
He appeared at Southern Derbyshire Magistrates’ Court this morning and was bailed with conditions and will appear at the same court on 6 April.
