Yesterday (Friday 9 April), Buckingham Palace announced the sad news of the death of His Royal Highness Prince Philip at Windsor Castle.
Officers and staff throughout Derbyshire Constabulary offer their sincere condolences to Her Majesty The Queen and the Royal Family.
Chief Constable Rachel Swann said: “Together with each police force in England and Wales, Derbyshire Constabulary offer our condolences to the Royal Family and join the nation in mourning this sad news.”
An eight-day period of national mourning will be observed from the date his death was announced until the morning of the funeral.
