You can help to improve policing for women and girls by taking part in a national survey.
You can help to improve policing for women and girls by taking part in a national survey.
Women and girls from across the country are being asked about their experiences of crimes which more commonly affect them and what they think would improve police support.
The survey is being run by Her Majesty’s Inspectorate of Constabulary and Fire & Rescue Services (HMICFRS) and is open until 9 August.
Derbyshire Constabulary’s Chief Constable Rachel Swann said: “As the National Police Chief’s Council’s lead for Gender, I know there are gender-specific issues which must be considered if policing is to meet the needs of everyone in our communities.
“Recent cases both nationally and closer to home have ignited a conversation about the safety of women and girls in our society. This is a conversation we welcome and there is work going on in Derbyshire and many other forces across the country to ensure we are doing all we can to protect people.
“The opinions of women and girls are vital in helping us to target our efforts where they will make the most difference.”

A second survey, also being run by (HMICFRS), is asking for feedback from victims and survivors of rape. This survey is open to people of any gender. You can complete the survey for rape survivors here.
