A 41-year-old man has pleaded guilty to wounding with intent and possession of a bladed article.
Kelvin Fletcher slashed a man with a Stanley knife in Market Street following a disagreement at the Nags Head pub on May 20 this year. He was arrested, later that day, after handing himself in at Clay Cross police station.
Mr Fletcher, of Oakdale Close, Danesmoor was subsequently charged and pleaded guilty to the charges at Derby Crown Court on 3 September.
He is next due to appear at Derby Crown Court for sentencing on 6 October.
