On Stephen Lawrence Day 2022 we focus on one of our PCSOs

Today, Friday 22 April, is Stephen Lawrence Day 2022
According to the Stephen Lawrence Foundation the day is about the part we all play in creating a society in which we can flourish.
Whilst we are still open for recruitment to the role of PCSO, we spoke to one of our PCSOs, Vanessa Humphrey, who patrols the Mackworth and Morley areas of Derby.
Vanessa explained: “I’m proud to work for the police as I get to show others how diverse it is becoming and how much I enjoy the role.
"Hopefully by being out in the community it will encourage more people from a black and ethnic minority background to join Derbyshire Constabulary.”
