Over the Easter weekend, our phone lines can be extremely busy and we want to make sure you get the help and information you need quickly and easily.
Before picking up the phone, are you sure it is a police issue? If it is something your local council should be dealing with, we won’t be able to help. Most council services are closed on bank holidays, but there are ways you can contact them online, and your report will be picked up when their offices reopen.
Visit Find your local council - GOV.UK (www.gov.uk) to find details of your local council.
If it is a general policing query, why not visit Ask the Police?
Ask the Police is an official police resource that provides answers to a wide variety of questions.
Any non-urgent policing matters, or if you’ve witnessed, or been the victim of crime, you can save time and report online.
Our online reports are dealt with by the trained staff in our control room in the same way as 101 calls. This will help keep our lines free for when there is an emergency.
If a crime is taking place, or somebody is in immediate danger, always call 999.
