A teenager has been charged with seven arson offences after a series of fires across Derby in late 2020.
Johnny Brady has this week been charged with the alleged offences, that took place during October and December 2020, and saw St Mary’s Catholic School and Ravensdale Infant and Nursery School destroyed - along with All Saint’s Church at Mackworth.
The 18-year-old, of no-fixed abode, has been charged with the alleged arson of buildings at the following dates and locations:
He has also been charged with one count of burglary in relation to damage caused to the science room at Murray Park school on 1 October 2020.
He is due to appear at Southern Derbyshire Magistrates’ Court on 3 March.
