To celebrate International Women's Day 2022 we spoke to our PC Freya Pipes.
Despite her own admitted stereotypes of becoming a police officer, Freya joined us on our Degree Holder Entry Programme (DHEP).
Watch as she describes what her life as a police officer has been like an how she encourages others to Break The Bias.
At Derbyshire Constabulary we are actively breaking the bias – we have female role models in our Chief Constable, Deputy Chief Constable and Assistant Chief Constables.
We still have some work to do as whilst our workforce is made up of 51.5% women, only 38% of our Police Officers are females.
We are interested in attracting outstanding women to roles across the organisation.
Anyone with a degree can apply to become an officer and explore unique opportunities to develop personally and professionally while making a positive difference in your community.
Break the Bias, Do something amazing, Apply to the Degree Holder Entry Programme.
