We held a special movie premiere last week, to celebrate the cadets who starred in a cadet leader video filmed by the national Volunteer Police Cadet team.
With an abundance of mocktails and popcorn, we invited all who were involved to dress to impress and attend force headquarters to showcase the video.
It was a fantastic night, where we heard speeches from many of the people involved in the video. The cadets were also invited to bring along any parents, guardians and friends to enjoy in the celebrations. Allowing their loved ones to see all the work the cadets have put into not only the video, but into the last year.
We were the only force in the UK who featured in the video, and our cadet leader Rosy, was the star of the show. Taking to the camera to talk about her experiences and enjoyment of being a leader.
During the filming we had two separate camera men, dropping between four locations, to capture the cadets doing a large range of activities.
Our cadets undertook drill, collision investigation training, pocket notebook sessions, emergency first aid, local door knocking and community engagement work, all in one evening.
The cadets and leaders not only showcased the work and commitment they give to their communities, but also showed how passionate and caring they are as individuals. They are all inspiring personalities for future cadets and leaders to look up to.
