Meet PC George, Derbyshire’s latest police biker.

Meet PC George, the latest addition to our Roads Policing Unit.

Young George came to one of our officers’ attentions when he stood outside his home with his own bike, uniform and pocketbook, telling local drivers to slow down. Impressed with his crime fighting initiative, the officer invited PC George to visit our station so we could show him some of our bikes, speed cameras and equipment.

After our roads policing and firearms teams showed George some of their kit, the young PC had a go sitting on a slightly bigger bike to his, which we’re sure he’ll grow into!

It was a pleasure to have PC George visit us, his confidence and eagerness to learn are definitely key skills of a good police officer. Keep an eye out for George in 10 years, when he is protecting our Derbyshire roads!
