Raising awareness of domestic abuse: Get involved in our live chat today
Main article content
Valentine’s Day is just around the corner and we know it can be a difficult time of year for some people.
If you’re suffering from domestic abuse it can be difficult to know how and where to get help and support.
Officers from our domestic abuse unit will be hosting a Facebook Live session this lunchtime as part of our domestic abuse awareness campaign.
We’ll be highlighting how you can get support and there will also be the opportunity for you to submit questions if there’s anything you need to know about domestic abuse.
During today’s live chat we’ll also be joined by Professor Jane Monckton-Smith OBE, creator of the eight-stage homicide timeline, a framework for tracking the homicide risk in cases of coercive control and stalking.
Questions can be submitted anonymously at https://app.sli.do/event/5UwDt2Fm5zSktCVQCjt4y7 or by scanning the QR code. Alternatively, you can comment on Facebook while the session is live. We’ll try and answer as many questions as we can.
