A man has died following a fire at a property in Alvaston.
Emergency services were called to the scene in Hawtrey Gardens at just after 7.20pm on Wednesday 5 March.
A man aged in his 70s was pronounced dead at the scene.
His family members have been made aware and our thoughts are with them at this difficult time.
A joint investigation into the cause of the fire has been launched by Derbyshire Constabulary and Derbyshire Fire & Rescue Service.
