A man is due to appear in court later this month after being charged with wounding with intent following an incident in Chesterfield.
Nathan Duqueman (30) of no fixed address, will also face charges of possessing an offensive weapon and possession of a knife .
The charges follow the serious assault of a 42 year old man in Birdholme, at around 9.15pm on Tuesday 17 March.
Officers were called by ambulance crews following the incident on St Augustines Avenue, where the victim had suffered wounds to his side.
Mr Duqueman appeared before magistrates on Thursday 19 March and is due to appear at Derby Crown Court later this month.
