A man who was arrested in connection with an alleged assault outside a bar in Chesterfield has been charged with murder.
The incident happened outside Vibe, in Holywell Street, at about 3.50am on Saturday 8 February.
A 23-year-old man was allegedly struck over the head with a bottle and taken to hospital but died last night.
Connor Rose, 24, of Baden Powell Road, Chesterfield, has been charged with murder and possession of an offensive weapon.
He was due to appear at Southern Derbyshire Magistrates’ Court tomorrow morning.
A second man, aged 28, was arrested on suspicion of affray and has been released on bail pending further inquiries.
