A 26-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder after a man was injured in an incident in Buxton.
Officers were called to Fairfield Road, Buxton, just after 12.15pm on Thursday 9 July to reports that a man had been injured in an altercation.
On arrival officers located a man with a stab wound to his chest. The 28-year-old, who is from Buxton, was taken to Manchester Royal Hospital for treatment to his injuries where he remains he is recovering from his injuries.
A 26-year-old man, who is also from Buxton, was arrested on suspicion of attempted murder in Liverpool yesterday evening and remains in custody.
Detectives remain keen to speak to anyone who was in the Fairfield Road and Victoria Park Road areas at around 12.15pm on Thursday 9 July.
Of particular interest are any drivers who may have dashcam footage from the area at the time of incident or any homeowners or businesses who may have CCTV that shows these areas.
