Two men jailed for drugs offences in Heanor

Two men have been jailed for drugs offences in Heanor after appearing at court towards the end of last month.
Thirty-Seven-year-old Scott Poole, of Loscoe Road, Heanor, was jailed for four years for possession with intent to supply Cocaine and Heroin, and driving offences including driving while disqualified and using a vehicle without insurance.
Ryan Poole (30) also of Loscoe Road, Heanor, was sentenced to three years imprisonment for possession with intent to supply Cocaine and Heroin.
They were arrested by officers who stopped a car on Marshall Street in the town on Friday 18 October, 2019.
Both men were sentenced at Derby Crown Court on Thursday 24 September.
Inspector Paul Stevenson, who is in charge of policing in the Amber Valley area, said: “Drug misuse and supply can have a huge impact on our local communities. We will not tolerate this kind of behaviour and will continue to target on those involved.
“We rely on our communities for their help and support and would encourage people to contact us with any information about criminal activity so we can act upon it and tackle those issues we know cause communities the most harm and concern.”
