Investigation continuing into serious collision at Whittington Moor

We are continuing to investigate a serious collision at Whittington Moor in Chesterfield which happened on Friday evening (August 5).

Emergency services were called to the scene just before 8.30pm, after a silver Volkswagen Polo crashed into a group of people outside The Batch House pub on Sheffield Road, and the building itself.

Two people remain in hospital, and one has now been discharged, having suffered serious injuries. Three other people suffered minor injuries which they have received treatment for.

Officers have spoken to the driver of the car and they are continuing to carry out enquiries.
