Appeal after woman is bitten by dog in Matlock

We are appealing for witnesses to come forward after a woman was bitten on the hand by a dog in Matlock.

We were called at 5.50pm on Tuesday 25 April to a report of the incident, which happened at 7.30pm on Monday 24 April in Smedley Street in Matlock.

The victim, a woman in her 30s, suffered a bite wound to her hand.

Since the incident, our officers have been making enquiries to identify the owner of the dog and locate CCTV footage of the incident.

We are now asking anyone who saw what happened or who has CCTV or dashcam footage, to contact us as part of our investigation.
