A Chesterfield man has been charged with several offences in connection with incidents of items being taken from a shop, drug offences and windows being smashed at a property in Chesterfield.
We were called to a report of several items being stolen from the Tesco Express shop, in Derby Road, on Friday 26 May just after 10.30pm. On Tuesday 30 May, just before 6.20pm, a further report was made of items being stolen from the same store.
We also responded to a report of three men throwing items at a property in Emmet Field Close in Grangewood, smashing windows in the process Monday 5 June shortly after 8.30pm.
Gerald Sampson, of Kingsley Avenue in Birdholme, has been charged with two counts of theft from a shop, Affray and Possession of a controlled Class A drug and remanded to police custody.
The 40-year-old appeared at Southern Derbyshire Magistrates’ Court on Thursday 8 June and has been released on court bail.
