A Matlock man has been charged in connection with the theft of peregrine eggs from a quarry in Bolsover.
We received a report that eggs had been removed from a Peregrine nest at Bolsover Moor Quarry on Sunday 23 April 2023 at 4.20pm.
Christopher Wheeldon, of Lime Grove, Darley Dale, Matlock, has been charged with Disturbing the nesting site of a wild bird and taking eggs of a wild bird.
The 34-year-old has been released on bail and is due to appear at Chesterfield Justice Centre on Monday 16 October.
