A 54-year-old man has been arrested in Chesterfield on suspicion of assault and possession of a firearm.
The man was arrested by armed officers in Grove Way just after 6.30pm this evening (3 June) – after a report of a domestic incident in Brimington on Saturday 1 June.
While there was a significant police presence in the area this was due to the circumstances of the alleged crimes and there is no wider risk to the public.
