Man arrested after spate of thefts in Oakwood, Derby

We have arrested a man in the early-hours of this morning (Monday, 23 December) in relation to a number of thefts in Oakwood, Derby.
The 24-year-old man from Sinfin is currently in custody, having been arrested near to the scene of a reported burglary in-progress on Foxfields Drive at around 3am.
A large number of officers were deployed to the area including the dog section and helicopter unit, leading to the arrest of the man.
We are now investigating a number of incidents in the area which are believe to be linked, including thefts from motor vehicles and garages.
The officers now investigating the incidents are asking residents of Oakwood to check any CCTV they may have and to contact with them should they see anything suspicious.
