A 20-year-old Derby man has been arrested following a collision in Manor Road, Derby.
All three emergency services received reports of a one car collision at 8.25pm yesterday evening (May 8).
At the scene a Toyota Corolla was found to have been in collision with a tree.
The male passenger of the vehicle was taken to QMC with life-threatening injuries – where he remains in a critical condition.
The driver of the car, a 20-year-old man from Derby, has been arrested on suspicion of causing serious injury by dangerous driving.
Officers are keen to speak to anyone who may have witnessed the incident or the moments leading up to it.
Drivers with dashcam footage should download the video and store is safely for an officer to view.
Homeowners on Manor Road and Warwick Avenue who have CCTV that covers the road are also asked to check their systems and – if there is content that would be helpful to the investigation – then please secure this for officers to view.
