A 28-year-old man has died following an incident in Derby city centre yesterday (Thursday, 12 September).
Officers were called to reports that a man had been found in the carriageway of St Alkmund’s Way at 2.10pm.
The man, who is from Derby, fell from the nearby Chapel Street car park and was pronounced dead at the scene. His family have been made aware and our thoughts are with them at this time.
Officers are conducting further enquiries and there are not believed to be any suspicious circumstances.
Anyone who was in the area at the time and witnessed the incident is asked to get in contact.
Of particular interest to detectives are any drivers who were in the area and may have dashcam footage that captured the incident.
