A 38-year-old woman has been arrested on suspicion of causing grievous bodily harm following an incident in Alvaston.
Officers were called London Road at 3pm yesterday (Sunday 10 May) to reports that a woman had been in collision with a car.
At the scene a 30-year-old woman was found with serious injuries. She was taken to hospital where she was found to have suffered serious injuries to her legs but these are not believed to be life threatening or life changing at this time.
A 38-year-old woman from Derby was arrested at the scene and remains in custody.
A 37-year-old man, also from Derby, was also arrested on suspicion of a public order offence in relation to this incident and he too remains in custody.
Enquiries are ongoing into the incident and officers are keen to speak to anyone who may be able to help with the investigation.
