UPDATE: Evacuated residents offered rooms for evening as cordon remains

Residents who have been evacuated from their homes in, and around, King Alfred Street, Derby, are being housed in temporary accommodation tonight due to the cordon remaining in place.

Any residents who still require accommodation for this evening are asked to visit Bramblebrook Community Centre, Stockbrook Street, where they will find further information about rooms for the night.

Those residents who are accommodated will be notified as and when they are able to return to their properties – while those who have been able to source their own accommodation will be updated via the force Facebook and Twitter accounts.
