A man has been charged with attempted murder after an alleged shooting in Derby last week.
Officers were called to reports that a woman had suffered serious injuries after being shot in the face in Warren Street, Derby, on Monday 11 January.
Officers attended the scene and found a woman in her 30s with serious injuries. She was taken to hospital and is recovering from her injuries.
Following enquiries, Tyrone Harvey was arrested on Saturday 16 January in the Chesterfield area on suspicion of attempted murder.
Today (18 January) the 32-year-old of Chattaway Street, Birmingham, was charged with three offences and appeared at Southern Derbyshire Magistrates’ Court charged with attempted murder, possession of a firearm with intent to endanger life and failing to provide a specimen of blood after being stopped by police whilst driving a car on Saturday 16 January.
He was remanded to prison and is due to appear at Derby Crown Court on 15 February.
