A 17-year-old boy from Derby has appeared at court charged with attempted murder following an incident in which a man was allegedly assaulted in Spondon.
Officers were called to reports that a man had attended the Queens Medical Centre with serious injuries believed to have been as a result of a stabbing.
Following enquiries, it was discovered that the incident had taken place behind Spondon Asda, Derby, between 4.30pm and 5.30pm on Sunday (11 July).
The man, aged 23 and from Nottingham, remains in hospital in a serious but stable condition.
The teenager, who cannot be named by law, appeared at Southern Derbyshire Magistrates’ Court today (14 July) charged with attempted murder where he was remanded to prison.
A 16-year-old boy, also from Derby, who was arrested in connection with the incident has been released under investigation as enquiries continue.
