Dog attack in Littleover leaves pet dead and teenager with hand injury
Main article content
We are investigating a report of a dog attack in Littleover in which a pet sadly died and a teenager was injured.
At around 12.30pm on Wednesday 23 June, a teenager was walking in Sunnydale Park, off Blagreaves Lane.
She was walking a dog on behalf of an elderly friend when she saw two men with three large dogs. One of the dogs ran over to the teenager and attacked the dog she was walking, killing it.
The girl tried to intervene and suffered a cut on her finger.
She said the two men and the three dogs then ran off.
She has described the two men as aged about 18, Asian and wearing tracksuits. They both had dark hair which was cut shorter at the sides and longer on top.
The dogs have been described as very large, about waist-height on the teenager and dark brown in colour. She believes one of the dogs may be called Sasha.
